CHELSEA Gokcay, AASW, msw, ma

Hello and thanks for visiting. My name is Chelsea (pronouns: she/her) and I think you are brave for even taking the step to read this. I hope that you decide to reach out.

I see individuals 15+ years old as well as couples. I am multicultural - Turkish and American - and I currently live in Melbourne. During my free time, I take dance classes and hike in the great outdoors.

I obtained my Master in Social Work with a clinical specialty from the USA. I have been privileged to work for many years with a wide array of individuals including refugees, veterans, adolescents, and older adults on different continents. I have completed training in Motivational Interviewing and Brainspotting and utilize skills from both—along with other models and techniques—in my practice. My most ardent belief includes the benefits that can come from building a trusting therapeutic relationship and collaboratively tailoring therapy to meet every individual’s needs. Lastly, utilizing the principles of trauma informed care are ever present in my practice.

I believe every human being has the capacity to heal. Sometimes accessing that resiliency can be very difficult to do on our own—and that is where our journey together can begin to get you to a more fulfilling life. Please feel free to reach out via my website, e-mail, or by phone to set up a free phone consultation today and let’s get you moving towards where you want to be.
